Poor Little Girl

Yeah, sorry I've been meaning to post, but school has just taken over. I'll make some posts this weekend for next week, promise.

Right now, I figured I'd let you guys know that we had a scare with Cherry yesterday. I got my mom tulips for Valentine's Day and we think Cherry was eating the leaves. Yesterday, I woke up to find diarrhea all over my room. Later on, I found some vomit. I put her in our upstairs bathroom and she just hid in the corners. Usually, she's climbing all over the place bugging me while I'm getting dressed, but she just curled up and hid.

So I called our vet and they were useless. I ended up going to see a different vet at 5pm. I got home from class at 3:30 and then had to run out and get a carrier for Cherry. Our old one got left outside and the door broke off. After running all around trying to find one, I get home and my dad is rushing out the door with her in a cardboard box. We had 10 minutes to get to our appointment, so we didn't even use the carrier I got her.

Turns out there was nothing to really worry about. She definitely wasn't feeling well, but it was nothing that was terrible. We were given some medicine to give her that will absorb any toxins. This morning she was doing a lot better. She was jumping around and bugging me. I mean just look at this:
What a weirdo. I had to go to class, so I left her in the bathroom until I got home. When I got back, she was playing and definitely ready to leave the bathroom. Right now she's playing downstairs and chillin' in her new carrier(it's a fabric one and it's huge, Woody almost fits in it).

So I'm very happy about this. I love this new vet. You can tell his practice cares so much for animals. When I brought Cherry in, even before we got in the exam room, they were checking how alert she was. And when we walked in they asked, 'Oh, is this the tulip kitty?' That sort of thing makes me feel like they care a lot. They remembered exactly why she was coming in and they were ready before we got there.

But I'm really just glad that she's alright.

Just look at her now:

Also, me and a friend came up with Cherry's full name. It is now Princess Devil Cherry Monster. lol I think it suits her well.
